More than $1.4 million in 2009 support charitable causes around the world
Our employees' generosity inspires Tellabs and the Tellabs Foundation. Tellabs offers to enhance employees' gifts of time and money, including:
- Matching gifts. Tellabs matches employee donations to nonprofits. Together we support more than 400 charities around the world.
- Volunteer programs. Employees may take up to 6 paid days each year to volunteer. Tellabs will also match volunteer hours given on personal time, up to $500 annually for each employee.
- Special incentives. During our workplace giving campaigns, employees team up with local charities. For example, in 2009, U.S. employees raised about $250,000 to help relieve hunger.
The Tellabs Foundation has contributed more than $13 million to nonprofits since it began in 1997. The Foundation supports efforts in education, health and the environment.
