Helsinki University of Technology
Helsinki University of Technology, the largest and oldest technical university in Finland, has updated its Networking Laboratory with a Tellabs Foundation grant. Students use the lab to conduct research and learn about Internet technology and data communications.

Junior Achievement
Junior Achievement is a nonprofit organization that teaches children about business, economics and the free-enterprise system.
Tellabs employees have worked in partnership with Junior Achievement to visit classrooms in Illinois and California to bring real world experience into the classroom. Tellabs employees have volunteered since 1994, reaching more than 325 classrooms.
United Negro College Fund
The United Negro College Fund will use Tellabs Foundation funds to provide scholarships for unmet needs, covering the gap between college expenses and financial aid. Scholarships will benefit 20 students from California, Illinois and Texas who major in engineering, mathematics, technology or science.
