Tellabs commitment to European Union Environmental Directives
The Tellabs Global Environmental Policy clearly states our commitment to minimize impact on the environment. Tellabs complies with all environmental legislation and regulations, and strives to satisfy the environmental requirements of our customers.
As such, Tellabs intends to be compliant with the European Union Environmental Directives: Restrictions of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) 2002/95/EC and Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) 2002/96/EC, and their dates as set forth in their respective legislations.
Tellabs has a RoHS readiness project ongoing which has been initiated to prepare for the 2002/95/EC directive regarding compliance of applicable Tellabs products.
The Project's main activities include:
- Evaluation of, and preparation for, necessary changes in the material content of the Products (to the extent necessary); and
- Evaluation of, and preparation for, necessary changes (if any) in the manufacturing processes.
