We invest to improve health
Supporting cancer research and advancing ways to heal
Tellabs, the Tellabs Foundation and employees support organizations that promote health and wellness. These nonprofits improve the well-being of our community:
Team up to fight disease
Tellabs employees actively support health causes, such as the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life and the Singapore National Cancer Research Centre Fund's 40km bike ride. Tellabs matches gifts of time and money through our matching gift program.
Innovate to find a cure
Research can bring long-term health to people around the world. To that end, the Tellabs Foundation has awarded several research grants, including:
- Alzheimer's Association for treatment and prevention of Alzheimer's disease
- American Cancer Society for acute lymphoblastic leukemia
- Children's Memorial Hospital Foundation for childhood cancer
- Dana Farber Cancer Institute for chronic lymphocytic leukemia
- Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University for chronic lymphocytic leukemia
- St. Jude Children's Research Hospital for childhood neuroblastoma research and cell and gene therapy treatments
- University of Chicago for asthma
- University of Illinois at Chicago – College of Medicine, an international effort to find a functional cure for diabetes.
