Tellabs began operations in Finland in 1993 by acquiring Martis Oy, founded 1976. Most of our operations are located in Espoo, but we also have a unit doing multi-faceted research and development in Oulu. Currently about 500 people are employed in Finland.
We carry global responsibility for the Tellabs® 8100 Managed Access System and the Tellabs® 8600 Managed Edge System developed in Finland, as well as for the Tellabs® 8000 Network Manager software included. Tellabs Oy has a continued dedication to quality and environmental values, effectively demonstrated by the company's ISO 14001 certification.
