Naperville, Ill. - Andrew B. Szafran, executive vice president and chief financial officer, has resigned from Tellabs for personal reasons, unrelated to Tellabs operations, financial reporting or business outlook.
Tom Minichiello, Tellabs vice president, finance and chief accounting officer, will serve as acting CFO.

Mike founded Tellabs in 1975. The company started out with $110,000 raised by the founders and a $50,000 loan from a local bank. Most of the founders took no salary the first year. [More]
