Derived from advanced Tellabs 1000 multiservice access technology, Tellabs' family of optical network terminals are specifically designed for our FTTP solutions.
Tellabs 1600 ONT is designed to cost-effectively deliver narrowband and broadband subscriber services over an FTTP platform to the subscriber's premises. This means that all residential services including voice, T1, Ethernet, and cable television services are supported natively, all over a single optical fiber in one cost-effective easy-to-install unit.

- Power to the ONT is provided locally over standard 24AWG Telco grade wires, from an included 110 VAC to 48VDC compact transformer, located on the customer's premises.
- With Custom Local Energy Management (CLEM) and a +7AH battery, the Tellabs 1600 ONT delivers Lifeline services over very extended periods of time, while shutting down the non-essential services.
- Located in the customer service access compartment of the Tellabs 1600 ONT are four voice lines, one 10/100BT Ethernet connection, and one coaxial video interface.
