The Tellabs 6370 WDM node increases revenue by efficiently transporting high-bandwidth services over 32 channels, providing multi-wavelength optical add/drop, integrated SDH and open transponder interfaces to support Gigabit Ethernet, ESCON, Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) and Internet Protocol (IP) applications.
The Tellabs 6370 node optimizes network resources and simplifies network planning, thereby reducing operational costs. It also provides new revenue streams for service providers, as the network can be planned according to capacity needs.
The Tellabs 6370 node features plug-and-play installation (SmartStart) that reduces installation time and simplifies procedures. The platform features a future-proof solution with in-service upgrade paths to 10 Gbps per channel as well as future upgrades from the standard 8 or 32 channels to 64 channels.
The system provides transponder-based stand-alone systems as well as direct colored SDH interfaces. These transponders provide European Telecommunications Standards Institute/ International Telecommunication Union (ETSI/ITU) compliant optical interfaces between DWDM networks and your equipment. The result is a compact, integrated DWDM/SDH solution.
