Tellabs® 1150/1134 Turn Up and Maintenance, FP 24.X

This instructor-led course provides knowledge and skills needed to Turn Up and Maintain a Tellabs 1150 Multi-Service Access Platform (MSAP) system. It has been updated to include FP 24.X information.

This course includes a 2 ½ hour end-of-course assessment (GSST1150/34TM24XA). The assessment consists of an online knowledge test and a task-based performance test.

  • End of course assessments are completed on an individual basis. Assessments are mandatory for Tellabs employees and optional for external customers.
  • Time is typically reserved on the last day of class to complete the knowledge test and the performance test. Specific day and time for the performance test is dependent upon session enrollment and equipment availability. 
  • Assessments are currently not offered on site.

Upon completion of this course, students should be able to:

  • List and describe Tellabs 1150/1134 MSAP functionality, specifications, and capacities
  • List and describe Tellabs 1150/1134 MSAP equipment and architecture
  • Perform turn up procedures for the Tellabs 1150/1134 voice, data, and video services
  • Perform equipment management and monitoring procedures using the broadband craft terminal
  • Perform trouble clearing procedures of common turn up problems
     
Prerequisites: It is highly recommended that students have the knowledge of Tellabs 1150 legacy components and functionality.
Audience: This course is designed for Field Technicians and/or any individuals responsible for operating, provisioning, maintaining and monitoring a Tellabs 1150 system.

Class Specifics

Duration: Two days
• On-site classes are available (A minimum of 6 students is required.)
• 60 percent hands-on lab activities
Class size: minimum 4 to a maximum of 8 students
• 2:1 student-to-equipment ratio
