This instructor-led course provides knowledge and skills needed to configure and operate Tellabs 8605 Access Switches in a wireless backhaul environment.
After a brief introduction to the wireless network and the Tellabs 8605 Access Switch system and hardware functionality, students will learn how to provision 8605-based backhaul network to provide wireless backhaul applications. This course includes hands-on activities using a Tellabs training lab environment. It is designed to help students learn the concepts that have been presented and reinforce what they have learned.
This course includes an optional end of course assessment, approximately 4 hours in duration, which consists of a knowledge test and a performance test. Participants opting to take the course assessment must also enroll in the Tellabs 8605 Provisioning and Maintenance - Assessment (8605PMA). Both tests are completed immediately after the training session. The assessment will require an additional half day per 4 students in the session. Specific day and time is dependent upon session enrollment and equipment availability. Assessments are currently not offered on site.
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Discuss wireless technology and the main components of a wireless network
- Discuss Tellabs 8605 equipment, its use in wireless backhaul applications, and perform basic Command Line Interface (CLI) configuration
- Use CLI to configure an 8605-based backhaul network using Inverse Multiplexing for ATM (IMA), Ethernet and MPLS Pseudowires, Multilink Protocol (MP), and MPLS Pseudowires
- Discuss 8605 maintenance and system administrative functions
