This is an instructor-led, extensive hands-on course that focuses on advanced maintenance, troubleshooting and system-recovery features.

Students will gain a deeper understanding of how the Tellabs 5500 works and will learn to use a logical troubleshooting approach. Extensive use of hands-on activities and system documentation will provide additional instruction.

Prerequisites:
  • Any of the Tellabs 5500 Fundamentals course
Or
  • Successfully completed the Tellabs 5500 Advanced Maintenance and Operations, FP8.0 Readiness Test online via our Tellabs Learning Connections web site.

And
  • A minimum of one year of direct experience with Tellabs 5500/S system is recommended.
  • Also recommended is knowledge of the following concepts:
    • Understanding of T1/T3 concepts
    • Understanding of basic SONET concepts
Audience: This course is intended for personnel who currently have Operations, Administration and Maintenance responsibilities for the Tellabs 5500 and desire a more in-depth knowledge of the system and troubleshooting activities.
