This instructor-led course provides knowledge and skills needed to perform basic provisioning and maintenance tasks on a Tellabs 1000 Multi-Service Access (MSA) system used as a Digital Loop Carrier (DLC) to deliver voice services. The course has been updated to include FP 11.9 features.
After a brief introduction to the Tellabs 1000 system and hardware functionality, participants will learn how to provision the system to provide the analog, digital, and/or TDM over ATM (ToA) services supported by the system. Participants will also learn how to configure TR-08 or GR-303 digital switch interfaces to allow the 1000 system integrated with a Local Digital Switch (LDS). Basic maintenance, troubleshooting, and testing procedures will also be covered in the course.
This course includes an optional end of course assessment, approximately 1.5 hours in duration, which consists of a knowledge test and a performance test. Participants opting to take the course assessment must also enroll in the Tellabs 1000 Provisioning and Maintenance for DLC Voice Services Assessment (10PMDLCVS119A). Both tests are completed immediately after the training session. Note: Assessments are currently not offered on site.

- Build a basic Tellabs 1000 system network
- Provision the system to deliver the voice services
- Configure TR-08 or GR-303 digital switch interface
- Perform basic maintenance, troubleshooting, and testing tasks
