This instructor-led course provides the knowledge and skills needed to perform basic provisioning and maintenance tasks n a Tellabs 1000 Multi-service Access System using Tellabs 1090 Network Management System.
After a brief introduction to the Tellabs 1000 system and hardware functionality, students will learn how to provision the system to provide the FTTP services supported by the Tellabs 1000 system. This course includes hands-on activities using a Tellabs training lab system environment. It is designed to help students learn the concepts that have been presented and reinforce what they have learned.
After taking this course, participants should be able to:
- Describe the features and capabilities of the Tellabs 1000 FTTP solution
- Recognize the fundamental concepts underlying PON technology for FTTP
- Identify Tellabs 1000 FTTP system components
- Provision FTTP services via Tellabs 1090 NMS
- Perform basic maintenance tasks
- Recognize basic troubleshooting procedure and interpret equipment LEDs
This course assesses students' mastery of knowledge and skills learned in the class via knowledge-check questions and hands-on activities throughout the course. There is also an optional performance assessment at the end of the course.
