This instructor-led course provides knowledge and skills needed to operate and maintain a Tellabs 1000 Multi-Service Access system for delivering ADSL services. It has been updated to include the IP TV Ethernet services supported at Feature Package 11.8 and later. The course has also been updated to include FP 11.9 features and SHDSL application.
This course includes an optional end of course assessment, approximately 1.5 hours in duration, which consists of a knowledge test and a performance test. Participants opting to take the course assessment must also enroll in the Tellabs 1000 Provisioning and Maintenance for xDSL Assessment (10PMXDSL119A). Both tests are completed immediately after the training session. Note: Assessments are currently not offered on site.
After taking this course, participants will be able to:
- Identify Tellabs 1000 system components
- Describe the common Tellabs 1000 xDSL applications
- Provision the Tellabs 1000 system to deliver xDSL services from the edge of the ATM network to the subscriber modem
- Provision the Tellabs 1000 system to deliver xDSL and video services from the edge of the IP network to the subscriber modem
- Provision the Tellabs 1000 system to deliver IP TV services
- Perform basic troubleshooting tasks using the common troubleshooting commands
- Perform basic maintenance tasks including database backup and restore
| Prerequisites: | In order to successfully complete this course, it is recommended participants have basic understanding of telephony and telecommunication concepts, and knowledge of ATM and Ethernet technology. |
| Audience: | This course is designed for network operation and maintenance personnel and/or any individuals responsible for provisioning, operating, and maintaining the Tellabs 1000 system for delivering xDSL services. |
