Passive Optical LAN and Canada Science and Technology Museum

Michael D’Eon, Director, IT Operations for Canada Science and Technology Museum (CSTM) and Tim Spurgeon, Channel Partner Sales Director for Tellabs, will lead a panel discussion at the Museum Computer Network (MCN) 2018 at The Curtis Hotel in Denver on Thursday, November 15th at 1:30 pm local time. The title of their panel discussion is “The Modern IT Infrastructure for the Museum of Tomorrow.”

The purpose of this session will be to look at the challenges of implementing new IT infrastructure for the museum of tomorrow during rebuilds, or expansion, and how Passive Optical LAN satisfies these demands. CSTM recent renovation, and its new Tellabs Optical LAN installation, will act as the successful example of how to properly build a modern IT infrastructure that supports museum future connectivity and operational needs. CSTM six (6) galleries, multiple event spaces, and corporate office space all cover 147,000 square feet. The Tellabs Optical LAN systems converges the Wi-Fi, VoIP, IP gallery lighting, digital signage, and audio/visual all over fiber for CSTM.
