The Tellabs 1000 1RU Fan Tray is a compact forced air cooling module. You can control the speed of the fans and the fan activation and deactivation temperatures. The fan tray rack-mounts directly under an Tellabs 1000 CBA to distribute cooling air through the plug-in cards to dissipate heat. The 1U Fan Tray moves air at approximately 400 cubic feet per minute (CFM). The thermostat activates the fans at 35º C (96º F) and deactivates them at 30º C (85º F). You can set the fan activation and deactivation temperatures on the fan tray control board. The maximum power draw for the 1U Fan Tray is pproximately 30W at 48 V DC. The 1U Fan Tray can activate the Fan Failure (minor alarm) in the Craft Interface.

Designed for installation in an Tellabs cabinets, in a Central Office (CO), or in an Tellabs 1000 retrofit application.


Powering Options

Can be powered using either the Tellabs 1000 MSAP Series Universal Power Assembly (UPA) or with any third-party -48 V DC power source.


Mounting Choices

Equipment can be mounted with either 19 inch or 23 inch rack with extension adapter brackets


Status and Alarm LED indicators

The 1RU Fan Tray has status LED indicator on the front panel lights solid green when the Fan Tray is operating normally. The Alarm LED indicator on the front panel lights solid red when the Fan Tray is in an alarm condition. The Test push-button on the front panel runs a self test on the Fan Tray when pressed and released.
