100S Optical Network Terminal (ONT100S) - Limited Availability
The Tellabs™ 100S Optical Network Terminal (ONT) offers one environmentally hardened Small form-factor pluggable (SFP) Gigabit Passive Optical Network (G-PON) module that provides ubiquitous connection options both indoors and outdoors. This SFP G-PON ONT module can be plugged directly into a network uplink SFP slot of a wide variety of Ethernet devices. For example, it can enable direct PON connection to third party Wireless Access Points (WAP), IP Cameras, workstation, server and Ethernet switches inside an environmentally controlled office space, above ceiling plenum locations, under open air covered structures or within a NEMA enclosure in outdoor common space.

The Tellabs ONT100S makes it possible to deploy your choice of Ethernet device manufactures and port configurations, while still leveraging the Tellabs advance software functions and Panorama PON Manager features.

Secure Connectivity

By utilizing a direct fiber connectivity to the end device, the Tellabs ONT100S assures the most physically secure connection is achieved. With the G-PON SFP module directly connected workstation or server, potential point of vulnerability can be minimized.

Connect Wireless Access Points and IP Cameras

This G-PON SFP module allows you to connect industry leading WAPs and IP cameras in a Passive Optical LAN architecture. This allows the ability to take advantage of greater reach of PON (i.e. 20km versus 100m) while supporting symmetrical bandwidth up to one gigabit to the WAPs and video cameras.

Ubiquitous Outdoor and Indoor Connectivity

The Tellabs ONT100S enables the advantages of a Passive Optical LAN architecture both indoors and outdoors – inside a building and across all types of extended campus. Additionally, PON’s superior reach for gigiabit Ethernet delivery can be exploited.

With no additional restrictive space and powering implications, this G-PON SFP module can be utilized anywhere across the local area network.

Centralized Management

Centralized Management provided by the Tellabs™ Panorama™ PON Manager helps speed installations and daily operations. Controlled by the Tellabs Panorama PON Manager, the Tellabs 100S ONT supports auto-discovery mechanisms, can be quickly provisioned with network policies, and offers smart troubleshooting tools, all of which allow for speedy moves, adds and changes for everyday operations.
