The Tellabs Remote Broadband Cabinet Series provides several different size choices for environmentally controlled enclosures supporting the Tellabs 1000 Multiservice Access Platform (MSAP) and its Channel Bank Assemblies (CBA), fan shelves, protector panels, charger/rectifier, and batteries. The Remote Broadband Cabinet Series solution enables service providers to cost-effectively deploy high densities of broadband services deeper into the access network, enabling them to provide higher speeds to more customers.
- Tellabs Remote Broadband Cabinet 36 (RBC36) – The RBC36 can serve up to 132lines of broadband. It can be deployed with either one (1) Tellabs 1000 CBA, equipped with 22 general-purpose slots or one (1) half shelf Tellabs 1048 CBA, equipped with 10 general-purpose slots.
- Tellabs Remote Broadband Cabinet 52BU (RBC52BU) – The medium sized RBC52BU can serve up to 500-lines of broadband. It can be configured with three (3) or four (4) Tellabs 1000 CBAs, each equipped with 22 general-purpose slots.
- Tellabs Remote Broadband Cabinet 52EU (RBC52EU) – Finally, the large sized RBC52BU can serve up to 1000-lines of broadband. This cabinet can be built with four (4) to eight (8) Tellabs 1000 CBAs, each equipped with 22 general-purpose slots.
All these Tellabs Remote Broadband Cabinets can be equipped with POTS, ISDN, DS0 special services, T-1, ADSL2+, VDSL2, Ethernet (100M, 1G and 10G) and fiber connectivity options. The cabinets can be deployed in many network topologies (point-to-point, star, tree), including integrated (GR-303, TR-08) and universal (TR-57) configurations.
