As we start the new year, I keep hearing the question “what is your why?” being asked of individuals and companies.
This comes from a popular best seller book by Simon Sinek “Start with Why.“ Sinek writes that people are inspired by a sense of purpose “or Why”, and that this should be communicated first, before “How” and “What.” According to Sinek, the “Why” is the cause that drives you to act. It is a means to think from the inside out – a gut feeling that is backed by deep emotion and conviction.
