USGBC Green Schools 2024 Features Optical LAN Sustainability

Good news! You have multiple ways to meet with Tellabs’ sustainability experts at the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) 2024 Green Schools Conference (GSC) taking place in Santa Fe, New Mexico on March 5th through 7th.

USGBC GSC 2024 attracts everyone interested in creating and advocating for more sustainable schools. This 14th annual conference takes place over three days promising in-depth education, social networking, hands-on school tours, and inspirational presentations. Both Tellabs, along with our valued partner ITConnect, are honored to have a prominent position in this year’s agenda.

First, we are excited to sponsor the “sold out” Santa Fe Public School’s Milagro Middle School tour (Monday, March 4th) to see all the amazing green features of this modern school, including water cisterns, solar canopies, geothermal and of course the low embodied carbon IT technology, known as Passive Optical LAN.

Next, we will participate at the Speed Greening (Tuesday, March 5th) sessions to answer questions about how Passive Optical LAN reduces embodied and operational carbon impacts on campuses. We will also have a presence at the Exchange Showcase (Wednesday, March 6th) where our sustainability leaders will be at table #700 to discuss ways fiber-based network connectivity can help schools’ reduce CO2, lower energy and even work towards net-zero.

Before, during and after this conference, we recommend that you access these online resources to gain further insight into why forward-thinking schools choose Optical LAN:
